Beijing Olympians Daniel Bell and Anna Green are the ASB Auckland Young Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year. Bell (Massey High School) capped an outstanding year in winning the honour at the ASB College Sport awards dinner beating six other talented sportsmen. The star of the World Junior
Swimming Championships in Mexico, where he won three golds and was named the most valuable junior swimmer in the world, Bell swam in the final of the 4x100m medley relay at the Beijing Olympics. Green (EGGS), who left for Chile last night with the New Zealand under-20 women's soccer team, played in the soccer tournament in Beijing.
