Sonny Bill Williams has been keeping in high spirits despite a knee injury ruling him out of of the All Blacks Sevens team who were crowned champions in Vancouver.
Williams, who switched to sevens in the hope of going to the Rio Olympics, should be available for the Hong Kong tournament which starts on April 8.
Despite being disappointed about not being able to play in Vancouver, Williams is making the most of his time off by keeping busy with his leading ladies.
Sonny Bill's wife Alana was there to welcome him home and made sure he was still smiling despite not being able to play. The pair married in August last year and are only months away from celebrating their two-year anniversary.
Family comes first for Williams. After the 2011 Rugby World Cup missed all three of the All Black victory parades after his Auckland-based grandmother was admitted to hospital with an undisclosed condition.
"You only have one family," a source close to Williams said at the time. "Celebrating and thanking fans can be made any time."
Despite facing a tough battle with her health over the last couple of years she is still alive and Sonny Bill made sure he spent some quality time with her earlier this month.
However it was his daughter Imaan who was most excited to see her dad! She turned one in November last year - just a month after the All Blacks took out the Rugby World Cup.
"You bring so much joy and happiness into our lives. We love you honey," SBW's wife Alana said in a birthday message to her.
And Imaan clearly loves her parents! She has even been helping Sonny with his physio sessions.
No doubt all three of SBW's leading ladies will be hoping to see him return to the field with the All Blacks Sevens side when the team compete in the Hong Kong leg of the series next month.
