Richie McCaw will once again start on the bench for the Crusaders against the Reds in Christchurch on Sunday as the All Blacks captain continues his rehabilitation from his long-standing foot injury.
Last week McCaw played his first game since the World Cup final and coach Todd Blackadder has resisted the temptation to start him against the defending champions this weekend.
McCaw will be joined on a strong bench by All Blacks lock Sam Whitelock and Wyatt Crockett as the Crusaders search for their fourth-straight win since returning from South Africa.
Sean Maitland has been bracketed with Adam Whitelock on the wing as the only change to the side that beat the Waratahs 37-33.
Maitland has been recovering from a high ankle injury and his inclusion on the wing is subject to his full participation in training today.
Dan Carter remains at second five-eighths with Tom Taylor playing in the No 10 jumper.
