Softball officially returns to Rotorua tomorrow.
Central Bay Softball will begin their proper competitions tomorrow at Puketawhero Park.
Seven teams have signed up to contest the senior competition, including four in the women's division and three in the men's division.
There will also be three T-ball competitions and one junior competition.
The men's competition includes Whakarewarewa, Hinemoa Point and Falcons United, while the women's division includes Whakarewarewa, Hinemoa Point, Owhata United and Mitchy Downs.
Central Bay Softball secretary and organiser Leigh-Anne Mullins said she was pleased with the number of teams entered.
"Oh yes, we have had a good response and we just want to keep growing the sport in Rotorua."
It has been about eight years since the last softball competition was held in Rotorua.
Mullins said they were still interested to hear from other teams wanting to play this season, especially at junior level for children aged 11 to 16.
