This year GLO, Rotorua's New Year's Eve Festival will finish at 9.30pm. We asked people what they thought about the changes.
That would be more achievable for us as a young family. I've never been one to celebrate New Year's Eve, I think we'd still celebrate but it just wouldn't be at 12.

I think that's a good approach ... but the whole purpose is to celebrate New Year's Eve at midnight. Families can leave after 9.15pm and other people can go later.

I go down with my kids and we never stay until midnight anyway. It's good for families but it's hard for teenagers.

It's New Year's Eve, people want to come into town for an event but we've got the other element; the people that spoil it for everybody. Maybe we need to think about having a simultaneous event for youth.
