We asked Glenholme School pupils what made Nancy Macfarlane a good principal and what their fondest memory of her was as she marked her last day at the school.
My fondest memory is when Whaea Nicky sent me down to her office because I did a really great piece of writing. Mrs Macfarlane thought it was fantastic and gave me two big super cool 3D shiny stickers. I went back to class with a great big smile on my face thinking Mrs Macfarlane was the best principal ever.
Finn Brierley, 10
Year 6
Mrs Macfarlane keeps us happy and supported us in what we do. She thinks of millions of things that not even the smartest people in the world could think of. She doesn't only say hi to me and remember my name, I see her do it to everyone in the whole school.
Luke Nicholas, 11
Year 6
She cares about the students, teachers and families. She always makes everyone feel welcome at our school. Whenever she sees me around the school or even outside of school she always takes the time to say hello.
Shekinah Maxwell, 11
Year 6
Mrs Macfarlane is a good principal because she really takes her time to communicate with other students instead of just being busy all the time.
