Members of the public attending tomorrow's council committee meeting won't be there for long with just one item up for discussion before the council moves into a confidential session.
Rotorua Lakes Council's Operations and Monitoring Committee will meet from 9.30am in the council chamber with the only item on the agenda for public consumption being an operational report for June and July.
The rest of the meeting will be held behind closed doors with councillors set to discuss confidential items from a previous committee meeting, confidential items regarding June and July's operational report and an item regarding the council's new One Council - Enterprise Resource Planning - information technology resource.
The operational report covers up-coming and ongoing projects as well as reporting on the performance of the various council departments such as the call centre and dog control, plus specific projects relating to the council's portfolios.
Of note in the agenda is reference to the assessment of speed limits for some roads in the district.
"A draft report is currently been assessed with recommended speed changes to a number of district streets," the agenda report stated.
"This will be evaluated against the required guidelines and a report with recommendations to council is expected around September."
The council is also asking for a "Request for Proposal" for an independent operator to take over the district's parking services.
The council is "inviting proposals for the funding, installation, operations and maintenance of parking equipment and the provision of enforcement as well as prosecution logistics and services".
According to the agenda, the process has been completed "and once proposal evaluations have been completed a recommendation will be drafted for council's consideration. This is expected around October 2017."
