A group of excited Year 13 Rotorua Lakes High School students recently travelled to Ohope for their annual camp.
It was a great success with fantastic weather, participation and where lifelong friendships were made.
The camp was about enhancing leadership skills, making friends and working as a team.
Over the four days students took part in team-building activities with the police, surfed, sea kayaked and swam, performed in night-time concerts and skits, as well as many other activities.
The "Olympics" were a particular hit among all the students. Tarawera House students were ecstatic to win the inter house camp shield for the first time.
"It was an amazing way to start our last school year and we all had the best time. It was really cool to see everyone step up to become leaders and see how the new students, in particular, became part of our group," said a tired but happy Annaliese Heuvel.
The students want to thank all the teachers and other helpers who made this camp such a memorable experience.
