An unwanted Christmas present and a date to an Eagles concert are among Trade Me's top Rotorua auctions of all time.
Trade Me's most popular listings were revealed recently as the website approached its billionth listing nationwide.
A January 2014 auction titled "Worst Christmas Present Ever?" received 180,813 views.
Trade Me communications and community advisor Jeff Hunkin said the listing for a box of expired biscuits - which the seller had begun eating - attracted 331 questions.
The Rotorua Daily Post reported the biscuits sold for $554, which was donated to the Unicef Philippines disaster relief fund.
Mr Hunkin said a ticket to the Eagles concert in Auckland - including a date with the vendor - was listed in March and attracted 44,449 views and 183 questions.
The seller said she bought two tickets for her partner's birthday but he had since run off with a woman who owned a silver car and a very large swimming pool. She hoped to sell the extra ticket to a fun-loving, smiling man between the ages of 59 and 69.
The offer included a drink in a bar of his choice.
Trade Me celebrated its billionth sales listing last week, almost 17 years after the business was created.
Rotorua's listings have made up 0.7 per cent of all New Zealand listings in recent years, according to Trade Me.
Trade Me chief executive Jon Macdonald said the company had seen its fair share of quirky, crazy and wonderful listings and marvelled daily at the eclectic range of items put up for sale.
The most viewed listing of all time was the handbag and cellphone former All Black captain Tana Umaga is said to have used to whack Hurricanes teammate Chris Masoe in the Jolly Poacher bar in Christchurch in 2006. It received more than a million views.
Next was a "possessed" HP Printer, listed in 2013, which received 800,000 views.
Users asked 2224 questions when a seller offered a 20-acre farm free with the purchase of a tractor - the most asked-about auction of all time.
The next most asked about auction was a "scary" washing machine.
