His mo has been a month in the making, but from today Richie Fullard will be back to the bare-faced look - temporarily at least.
The station manager at NZME. radio in Rotorua has been one of thousands of men around the country growing a moustache to raise awareness and funds for men's health.
Mr Fullard said yesterday the razor was coming out last night and he was looking forward to growing a beard back now that Movember was officially over. "I'm looking forward to getting rid of it."
He said that was probably a sentiment echoed by his wife. However, he was proud he'd managed to raise $425 for his efforts.
"People have been more than generous."
Mr Fullard said since having children he'd become more conscious of his health.
More than 11,000 New Zealanders took part in the annual mo-growing extravaganza to raise funds and awareness for men's health.
Last year $1.5million was raised as part of the month.
The Movember campaign raises funds and awareness for key men's health issues of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health, and the funds raised are put towards research and support programmes in those areas.
