Easter bunnies - of both the chocolate and furry varieties - will feature at this weekend's Zorb Easter Hunt.
The family-friendly event will be held at Zorb Rotorua, on the corner of Western Rd and State Highway 5 in Ngongotaha, this Easter Sunday with chocolate egg hunting, face painting and hundreds of dollars worth of prizes on offer.
A petting zoo with rabbits will also feature, giving kids the opportunity to get up close and personal, or take a photo, with the furry creatures.
Zorb Rotorua general manager Kyle Kydd said the annual event was set to be a day for families and children to enjoy.
"It's going to be an awesome day, there's so many prizes up for grabs and seeing the kids having a good time, that's going to be great," he said.
"It's also an opportunity for us as a local business to do something for the community."
Mr Kydd said more than 130 chocolate easter eggs will be hidden away for children to find, sending kids on an adventure for about an hour and a half.
The event has been running for the last two years and has been hugely popular, with more than 150 people turning out last year.
"We're hoping to draw an even bigger crowd this year," he said.
"We really want to see people make the most of this free event and come down to have a good time."
Prizes include Zorb, Agroventures and Kaitiaki Rafting rides, Capers Cafe vouchers, Agrodome, Amazeme and Polynesian Spa passes and "plenty of chocolate".
It will run from 10am to about 12pm, with the Zorb operating as normal for the rest of the day.
The Rotorua Museum will also be holding a Great Easter Egg Hunt this weekend, with Easter eggs hiding throughout the museum from Friday until May 4 from 9am to 5pm.
