Lakeside 2013 - Come Together features a mix of local and national artists including including Rotorua's own Russell Harrison, former Taupo man and New Zealand Idol runner up Michael Murphy and entertainer Tina Cross.
Organiser Monty Morrison said the weather was looking fantastic ahead of the show. He said people needed to be prepared for the hot weather with plenty of sun screen and water while making sure they had something warmer to put on when the sun sets and the temperature drops.
The forecast is for a high of 23C and a low of 13C.
Mr Morrison said while people could take along picnic hampers, including wine and beer, there might be bag searches and excess alcohol would be confiscated.
Sun umbrellas and low seating were also welcome, Mr Morrison said.
"It is a family friendly show and is about promoting all the good things Rotorua is well known for."
He also reminded people to take along a gold coin and donate to the collection which will go towards the maintenance and restoration of St Faith's Anglican Church at Ohinemutu.
