A woman has outed a bride after she charged a group of friends 34 cents each for a bottle of lemonade at her bachelorette party.
The bride provided a detailed invoice to her group of friends, billing them for each item of food and drink purchased for the hen's party, including the costs of gifts and decor.
The unnamed woman shared a screenshot of a message from the bride, Sarah, entitled "bachelorette expenses".
Taking to Reddit, the woman posted the image with the caption: "So I received an invoice from the bachelorette party."
Sarah had carefully listed the total cost of the goods, listing them individually before dividing the bill seven ways by the number of people who attended the party.
The hen's guests were billed for macarons, cupcakes, a water case, watermelon, honey dew, M&Ms, popcorn, lemonade, Sprite (a different brand to the lemonade), cotton candy, pizza, champagne and vodka, two presents and plates.
The total cost for the bride came to $166.67 (NZ$254.77), meaning each person was being asked to cough up $23.81 (NZ$36.39).
After posting the invoice online, the friend labelled Sarah "insane", saying "the list goes on too. God forbid we get away without paying each 28 cents for paper napkins".
"She said it was BYOB so I brought my own but we also ended up having to pay for the alcohol she bought.
"The party wasn't even fun because she was trying so hard to make it a picture perfect party and it seemed unnatural and more like a business transaction."
She also confirmed that there were, in fact, only four pizzas at the party despite the bride-to-be apparently spending close to NZ$160 on them.
Reddit users were outraged with many telling the woman to not pay the invoice.
"I would offer to stick this invoice where the sun don't shine and nothing else....or you could pay the invoice in pennies you are hurling at her from a moving car," one person wrote.
Another said: "I'm struggling to wrap my head around how anyone could think this is reasonable."
Others say the woman should boycott Sarah's wedding.
