Lake Taupo CC and Whakatane United have booked their place in Western Bay of Plenty reserve grade championship semi-finals this weekend.

First round winners, Lake Taupo CC finished the WBOPCA regular season with an unbeaten record and will host defending titleholders Te Puke at Kaimanawa Reserve on Saturday.

The other semi-final sees Sikh Sports, who have been the big improver in the second half of the season travel, to the Eastern Bay of Plenty to take on Whakatane United.

In the Reserve Grade Plate competition, Greerton will meet Katikati at Ferguson Park while Tauranga Boys College host Rotorua side Geyser City at Blake Park.


The Bowl has turned into a straight final with Mount Maunganui playing Aquinas College at Fergusson Park three.

B Grade championship qualifying frontrunners Wanderers, could have a good battle with Tauranga Boys College third eleven in one of the B Grade championship semi-finals, while Mount Maunganui host the Singh XI at Blake Park.

The B Grade Plate, sees Grasshoppers play Mount Maunganui Colts, with Punjab Warriors who have played the bye team in the last few weeks, meeting Albion.
