Manukau and Waitemata Harbours, Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville.

Situation:

A disturbed westerly flow eases across the country today as a ridge builds from the north. A front moves onto the South Island late Wednesday and crosses the North Island Thursday, followed by another ridge. Strong northwesterlies build across the South Island Thursday, then over central New Zealand on Friday.

For the Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville: Tuesday: Westerly 15 knots, turning southwest 10 knots this afternoon, then easing to variable 5 knots in the evening. Sea slight, but choppy when wind opposes tide. Mainly fine, but fair visibility in one or two showers.

Outlook until midnight Friday: Wednesday: Westerly 10 knots, tending northerly in the evening. Rain to isolated showers in the afternoon. Thursday: Becoming westerly 10 knots in the morning and southwest 10 knots late. Mainly fine. Friday: Becoming northerly 10 knots from midday. Cloudy periods.
