Police have named a woman found dead at an Invercargill hostel on Saturday.
Nicola Jean Fleming, 38, lived at the Haven Accommodation Hostel in Tyne St.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on Saturday afternoon and is due to appear in the Invercargill District Court today charged with Ms Fleming's murder.
The man was known to Miss Fleming.
Inspector Olaf Jensen of Invercargill Police says the investigation into Ms Fleming's death continues today, with 25 staff working on the case.
A forensic examination at the hostel, including the room where the victim was living, continues and is expected to conclude on Wednesday.
A post-mortem is expected to be completed today.
