There's a lukewarm response from AMI stadium to a suggestion of serving only low alcohol beer at events.
The Christchurch-based director of the National Addiction centre, Professor Doug Sellman, says low alcohol beer would reduce intoxication and booze-related harm
VBase CEO Bryan Pearson says they already serve low alcohol beer at the stadium. He told Newstalk ZB it's "not especially popular" and is used as part of an overall drinking strategy.
"We will use low alcohol beer in a variety of ways in determining the alcohol management plan for any event. We don't have a one size fits all approach to this."
