A pregnant woman has been taken to hospital after the stolen car she was in crashed while fleeing from police.
The car crashed into another car and a van outside the Z petrol station on Roscommon Rd in South Auckland this morning.
A police spokeswoman said no one was injured but a pregnant woman who was in the stolen car had been taken to Middlemore Hospital for a precautionary check.
There were two children in one of the cars, aged four and one. They were checked by ambulance staff but were okay.
The stolen car was being pursued by police who abandoned it.
The three involved cars are next to a petrol pump.
A reporter at the scene said: "Two have pretty damaged fronts and one got hit on back left corner and the back window has popped out. Glass and bumpers are scattered around."
A police spokeswoman said two people are assisiting police with their enquiries, and they are investigating the details of the theft.
