One person is dead after a speeding driver crashed into another vehicle last night. At 9:20pm yesterday a vehicle crashed on the corner of East Coast Road and Hibiscus Highway, Silverdale. Members of the public earlier saw the vehicle speeding and travelling on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle collided into another vehicle and a traffic pole. The driver of the speeding vehicle died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was moderately injured.
