A Taiwanese couple overwhelmed by the support from people after their son drowned in the eastern Bay of Plenty have expressed their gratitude in newspaper advertisements.
Ping Chun Hsu and Feng Wing Chun thanked the people involved in the search for student Chih-Chieh (Jack) Hsu, who drowned at Waihau Bay last month.
Mr Hsu had been in New Zealand for two years and was a student at the New Zealand Language Institute in Rotorua.
