A toddler has been rushed to Starship Hospital after being rescued from the fountain at Auckland's Mission Bay beach.
St John received a call for assistance at Mission Bay, east of Auckland's CBD, at about 2:30pm.
The child is in a serious condition, ambulance staff said.
A witness told the Herald that a 2-year-old girl was pulled from the fountain. A nurse nearby administered first aid.
