Three men and three women have been arrested after an operation targeting drug dealers in Hawke's Bay ended in police raiding homes.
Search warrants were carried out in a house on Napier's Coverdale St as well as a property in Hastings on Thursday.
Detective Inspector Mike Foster said they were the culmination of Eastern District organised crime unit's Operation Chrome.
Firearms, large quantities of cash and methamphetamine, LSD, cannabis and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine were seized.
Police were seen distributing flyers outlining the dangers of drug use to neighbours of the home raided in Onekawa.
The pamphlet talks about the effects of methamphetamine and cannabis use and urges people to contact police or seek help from mental health and addiction services.
Foster said the operation had been "extremely successful".
"We are completely committed to exposing and apprehending those who choose to deal harmful drugs."
"The physical and social carnage that many of these drugs cause to our communities, especially methamphetamine, is unacceptable and we are committed to lessening that harm and holding those responsible to account."
Foster said if the public wanted to confidentially pass on information relating to the dealing of unlawful drugs they could call police on (06) 831 0700.
