Six fire crews battled a workshop fire for more than two hours in South Auckland this morning.

Fire and Emergency was called to the building on Langley Rd in Wiri around 4am.

A spokesman said no one was inside the building, and no one was injured in the blaze.

About six fire crews had extinguished the blaze, covering an area of about 50 by 20 metres, in just over two hours.

Fire investigators would be at the scene later this morning.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
