Police have taken two people into custody following a fleeing driver incident this afternoon.
A police spokesman said it initially engaged with the vehicle around 3.22pm in Glenfield, Auckland, due to suspicious behaviour.
The vehicle's occupants then fled from police.
Police followed from a distance and the vehicle was monitored by the Eagle helicopter.
Spikes were laid and the vehicle was stopped about 4pm on Lincoln Rd in Henderson, with two people taken into custody.
The spokesman said it was too early to say whether the pair would be formally charged, and what they would be charged with.
