Whangaparaoa Rd is expected to be clear soon after a crash between a car and fire truck in Manly.

A photo circulating on social media shows a red ute crashed into the back of the fire truck. It is not clear how the collision happened.

A Fire and Emergency shift manager said the incident happened about 11.30am.

A police spokeswoman said police attended and ambulance staff were also notified.

An ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics attended but did not need to take anyone to hospital.

The road was blocked for a time but should be free-flowing soon, she said.
