Auckland Council has confirmed Josephine Bartley as its newest councillor after the Maungakiekie-Tamaki ward seat was left open by new Maungakiekie MP Denise Lee.
Dave Pizzini will also take over Simeon Brown's seat on the Manurewa Local Board after Simeon Brown was elected the MP for Pakuranga. Former Green MP Denise Roche was also elected on the Waitemata Local Board.
Voting closed on Saturday and the successful candidates were confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
Two of the three by-elections were triggered by the council candidates successfully being elected as National MPs.
The third seat became open after Dr Mark Davey resigned from his position on the Waitemata board due to increasing work commitments in New Zealand, the US and England.
Bartley, a Labour candidate, will be sworn in as a councillor on Thursday at the town hall.
