Police say three people have been charged in relation to an alleged kidnapping in Napier today.
Officers responded to the incident just before 9am to begin inquiries.
As a result, one alleged offender was arrested in Whakatu.
Shortly afterwards, the Hawke's Bay Armed Offenders Squad executed a search warrant at an address on Kenny Av in Ahuriri, known to be the headquarters of the Outlaws gang in Napier.
The victim was located a short distance from this location, and a further two alleged offenders were arrested.
Three Napier men aged 23, 31 and 39 are jointly charged with kidnapping and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They are due to appear in Napier District Court on Monday.
The victim has received serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.
No one else is being sought in relation to the incident.
This was a fast-moving inquiry which saw the quick recovery of our victim and three offenders soon arrested, which is an excellent result.
The confirmation came after the Armed Offenders Squad was called to the gang headquarters this afternoon.
