Police have confirmed the body found in Pahiatua on Sunday was Elizabeth Udy.
They've released a short statement confirming her identity, and saying their thoughts are with her family and friends "at this sad time".
The body was found at a property on Tudor Rd in Pahiatua around 11 this on Sunday 3 December.
Police said this was the same area where Udy was last seen on Wednesday, October 11.
Lizzie was 45 years old and described as European, of slim build, and about 155cm tall. She was wearing a lightweight dressing gown when last seen, and was believed to be on foot with no access to a vehicle.
Search teams had scoured the Mangatainoka River, as well as surrounding land areas.
When her body was first discovered on Sunday, police said her death was not believed to be suspicious.
