Motorists in Auckland are being warned of some delays following a multiple car crash on the Southern Motorway this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the site, near the Khyber Pass off-ramp, just before 3pm.
No injuries have been reported at this stage, a police spokeswoman said.
The NZ Transport Agency warned drivers heading north that although lanes were cleared, there were some delays for those heading towards the city.
A photo of the incident, posted by a member of the public on Twitter, shows nine vehicles bumper to bumper.
Police said all vehicles involved had been cleared to the shoulder, but that traffic was still congested in the area as a result of the crash.
