One person has serious injuries after being hit by a bus in central Wellington.
Police are at the scene, at the intersection of Manners St and Willis St.
Manners St has been shut down between Willis St and Victoria St, with drivers and pedestrians asked to avoid the area.
The injured person has been taken to hospital.
Manners St has become notorious for incidents between buses and pedestrians.
In August, a person was injured on the stretch of road between Taranaki St and Cuba St.
A young man was left in serious condition in July this year, after he was struck by a bus on Manners St outside the Opera House.
At least 16 people have been hit by buses on Wellington's Golden Mile since 2010.
