Two men have been arrested and charged with robbing a man of his car in Foxton earlier this month.
The two men allegedly stole the man's car from him in the early hours of September 17 on the corner of Queen St and Seabury Ave, Foxton Beach.
The car was found by police later that day, but about $1500 worth of personal property that was in the car is still missing.
Following the recovery of the car, police made further inquiries and a search warrant was executed at an address of interest.
"While we were working to find the stolen property, we located 40g of methamphetamine at the address," said Detective Sergeant Philip Skoglund.
"The man's property remains outstanding but we've been able to hold two people to account for this incident and prevented the circulation of this harmful drug in the Foxton community."
Two men, aged 43 and 30, were arrested today.
They will appear in Levin District Court this afternoon, charged with aggravated robbery.
The 30-year-old is also charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply.
The victim's car was returned and he is receiving ongoing support.
