Tauranga police are asking the public to help find the machete-wielding offenders who robbed United Video on Tuesday.
A small amount of money was stolen, including bags containing coins, when two solidly built male offenders held up the shop on Fraser St at 7.35pm
One was carrying a large wooden-handled machete.
Detective Kevin Shields of Western Bay of Plenty CIB said police were looking for the men but needed help from the public.
The first offender was wearing a grey hooded top pulled over his head and white-soled running shoes. He was wearing white gloves.
The second offender was wearing a white scarf over his head and a dark blue puffer-type jacket.
He was wearing green cammo-style pants and blue and white running shoes.
"We are seeking any information which may assist us in our investigation, including reports from witnesses," Mr Shields said.
Information could be given to the Tauranga Police Station on 07 577 4300 or anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
