UPDATE:
One person has been taken to Rotorua Hospital after a crash at the intersection of Sunset and Old Taupo Rds.
A police spokeswoman said it was a two-car crash and the person taken to hospital had minor injuries.
She said police were called to the crash at 11.41am.
The investigation into the cause for each of the crashes is ongoing and at this stage there have been no charges laid in relation to any of the crashes.
EARLIER:
Emergency services are on the way to two separate crashes which have happened less than 20 minutes apart.
Police and fire were called to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 30 near Lake Rotoiti at 10.50am.
Shortly after they were called to another crash where a car had rolled near Lake Okataina.
A police spokeswoman said there had been no injuries reported at either crash.
A spokeswoman for Fire Northern Communications said the fire service was on its way to a vehicle crash on State Highway 30.
She said they had not arrived at the scene yet.
