The men who helped the country to buy a beach are hoping to do it again.
Duane Major and Adam Gard'ner helped raise $2 million for the purchase of Awaroa Inlet in the Abel Tasman National Park nine months ago.
The property's since been gifted to the Department of Conservation.
Now they have their sights on a 6ha site at Tukurua Beach in Golden Bay, which includes a private beach and a campground.
Major says he'd like to see it kept in Kiwi hands and would happily help an organisation or an individual to lead a crowdfunding campaign.
