Power has been restored to parts of the North Shore where some 10,000 homes went without today.
People had reported outages at Albany Mall and a number of homes.
A mall spokeswoman confirmed power had gone out temporarily, but it was switched back on after about 10 minutes.
Vector spokeswoman Sandy Hodge said crew were out at a site "progressively" restoring the power.

She wasn't sure what had caused the outage, but said more would be known once crew returned.
Ms Hodge believed the outage was around the Albany area, but couldn't confirm exactly how many had been affected.
