A man who is on trial for alleged assault against his high profile wife and their children has today been found guilty of four of 14 charges.
A jury found the husband, who has name suppression, guilty of assault on a child and three charges of breach of a protection order.
The jury found him not guilty of four counts of assaulting a female, while it was hung on six others. Those charges were threatening to kill, two charges of assault on a child and a charge of sexual violation.
The jury went out at 11.30am yesterday. The decision was delivered just before 5pm today at Hamilton District Court.
He was found not guilty of four charges of male assaults female.
The man was remanded on bail and will be sentenced on the guilty charges on May 12. He is set to reappear at court in April on the six charges the jury was undecided on.
The verdict follows a two-week trial and the charges related to alleged offending on various occasions in the Waikato and Auckland between May 2013 and June 2014.
