Three motorcyclists have been injured in separate crashes around the country this weekend.
It's believed one of the riders wasn't wearing a helmet.
The latest crash happened in Auckland just after 2pm this afternoon, in the southbound lanes of the southern motorway at Mt Wellington.
The seriously injured motorcyclist was being treated at the scene and further details weren't immediately available.
This came a few hours after another crash north of Auckland.
Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Foundry Rd and Forge Rd in Silverdale, where a car and motorcycle collided.
Police said the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was being treated by ambulance staff. The serious crash unit was investigating.
And last night in Christchurch, a 22-year-old man police suspect wasn't wearing a helmet crashed at the intersection of Denise Cres and Skerten Ave about 6.30pm.
He was in a serious condition in Christchurch Hospital today.
"At this stage it appears that the rider has misjudged the intersection and lost control of the motorcycle," Senior Sergeant Vaughn Lapslie said.
