A motorcyclist has suffered leg injuries in a collision with a car north of Auckland this afternoon.
The crash happened on Waiteitei Rd, Te Arai, shortly before 2pm.
It appeared the biker had lost control and skidded on the road, Inspector Cornell Kluessien said.
The motorcycle then collided with a car.
It was not yet clear if it was an oncoming vehicle, or a car coming from behind the bike.
The biker had sustained leg injuries, Mr Kluessien said, but they were not life threatening.
The serious crash unit has been called to the scene, and will carry out an investigation, he said.
Waiteitei Rd would be closed for some time, and diversions would be in place.
