The funeral for an Auckland woman killed in a car crash while returning from a funeral will be held today.
Sophie Langston, 28, died when the car she was in with her partner, Simon Thomas, crashed just south of Turangi about 1pm on Tuesday last week.
After her death more than $33,000 was raised to help her twin sister Laura with funeral expense.
Sophie's funeral will be held at 11.30am in Newton. In a death notice her family described her farewell as a celebration of life.

"May her vibrant, colourful and compassionate spirit continue to shine through the people and animals she loved so much. We love you Sophie XXOO," the notice said.
Another explained that Sophie and Laura's mother Carmel Langston, who died several years ago, had suffered a long illness but loved her girls with all her heart".
It is understood that that twin sisters cared for their mother since they were young teenagers.
"Sophie we will miss your smiles, kindness and your beautiful laughter," said a notice from her extended family.
"We return you to your mother's embrace with sadness."
