Travellers hoping to take a ferry between the North and South Island over the next couple of days could be disappointed, as many crossings have been delayed or cancelled because of the storm hitting the country.
Interislander passengers have been advised to monitor the company's website to check on their sailings.
The company has said delays might continue tomorrow, depending on the weather, but services were expected to return to normal by Saturday.
