Two people have been seriously injured in two separate crashes in Auckland early today.
In the first incident, part of the Southwestern Motorway at Mangere was closed after a car rolled about 5.30am, Inspector Steve Kose of northern police communications said.
One person suffered serious injuries and three other occupants had minor injuries.
The Southbound motorway lanes were closed while the crash scene was cleared and traffic was being diverted off the motorway at Walmsley Road.
The road was due to reopen shortly, Mr Kose said.
Another person suffered serious injuries in a "high speed rollover" crash about 6.15am, he said.
The crash happened on Hospital Road at Middlemore.
The car's occupant was hospitalised in a serious condition. It was not known how many people were in the vehicle, Mr Kose said.
