A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a Wellington principal.
Police were called to St Joseph's School in Pine Avenue, Upper Hutt today following a complaint of assault.
The principal received moderate injuries, for which he required medical attention.
A 39-year-old Lower Hutt man has been arrested on assault charges.

He has received bail and will appear in the Upper Hutt District Court on December 19.
"The investigation is still continuing and will be reassessed once completed to decide if any further charges will be laid," said Senior Sergeant Brent Murray.
