A Waikato man wanted by police for allegedly breaching his parole will face further charges after being caught on Sunday.
The 38-year-old from Morrinsville tried to flee when he was stopped in Hamilton early on Sunday, police said.
"It quickly became apparent why he was keen to avoid our attentions, when caught he was found in possession of quantities of cannabis, methamphetamine and a large sum of cash," Sergeant Craig Singer said.
The man was remanded in custody and will face drug charges in Hamilton District Court later this week.
