Christchurch's Student Volunteer Army is undertaking a final blitz in the city today.
Federated Farmers is also getting behind the effort.
Earthquake spokesman John Hartnell says silt still needs to be cleared from around 300 properties, mostly in the eastern suburbs.
"If we can get a couple of hundred people it would be great, whatever the people can do to help this final little push would be fantastic," says Mr Hartnell.
Volunteers who miss out today can meet at the A and P show grounds anytime between nine and 12 tomorrow morning.
