Dunedin police are searching for a man who robbed a BP Service Station at knife point last night.
The man entered the service station on Mailer Street in Dunedin about 8pm and demanded money from the sole attendant.
He was armed with a large knife with a blade about 40cm long, Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said.
"He has taken a moderate amount of cash and tobacco before running off down Lawrence Street."
The man is described as a thin European in his 20s, wearing a hooded top, trousers and dark sunglasses.
