A $37 Lotto win turned into a $10.6 million win for a Rotorua family syndicate who won last weekend's Lotto Powerball.
The family, who bought their ticket at Rotorua Countdown, claimed their prize in Wellington today -- the 19th biggest win in New Zealand Lotto history, New Zealand Lotteries' chief executive Todd McLeay said.
The winners won $37 on Lotto three weeks ago and decided to reinvest the winnings on a couple of scratchies and a Power Dip.
"We'll probably do a bit of travelling, and possibly get some tickets for the upcoming Rugby World Cup, but we're not making any plans until we see the money in our bank account," the winners said.
