More of Christchurch's earthquake ravaged CBD is set to open.
Civil Defence National Controller John Hamilton says zone seven will open next Thursday to business owners and residents and the day after for the general public.
Zone seven is encompassed by St Asaph Street, Barbadoes Street, Chester Street East and Madras Street.
Meanwhile Mr Hamilton says if residents want to get possessions out of areas of the inner city, they need to register with the Earthquake Recovery News and Information service. He says once they register, Civil Defence will set up a time to retrieve possessions.
He says to register, people need to go to CanterburyEarthquake.org.nz
