A man has been charged over the death of a cyclist killed when a car hit her near Fielding in November last year.
Patricia Fraser, 34, from Longburn, was cycling with her best friend along SH3 when she was struck by the car travelling in the same direction at about 2.45pm.
The pair were training for the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge.
Police say the 45-year-old Marton man was charged careless driving causing death after an extensive investigation.
He will appear at Feilding District Court on January 26.
