It appears the latest aftershocks to hit Christchurch may spoil the city's New Year's Eve celebrations.
Christchurch City Council is looking for an alternative venue for its New Year's Eve party, which is normally held in Cathedral Square.

Staff are working with suppliers and contractors and will make a decision on Wednesday morning.
