A two-year old boy remains in a critical condition in intensive care after having his arm amputated by a lawnmower in Wairoa on Saturday morning.
The boy fell in front of a ride-on mower being driven by his mother at a private residence, a St John spokesman said.
He was flown yesterday to Hawke's Bay Hospital by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter for treatment.
Hospital spokeswoman Anna Kirk said today the boy's condition was still critical.
